An Evening with Georg Riedel
"The finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes are those made by Riedel. The effect of these glasses on fine wine is profound. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference they make." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate
Join Cork & Bottle in welcoming Mr. Georg Riedel of Riedel Crystal for a special tasting event on the evening of Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Parkview Terrace of the historic Casino Building in New Orleans City Park. Georg Riedel, 10th generation glass maker, will lead an incredibly informative seminar on the importance of proper glassware in tasting and appreciating wine.
Mr. Riedel will showcase the Vitis Series of glassware, including the Sauvignon Blanc glass, the Montrachet Glass, the Pinot Noir Glass and the Bordeaux glass. Cork & Bottle will pour four world class wines for this truly unique and amazing seminar (we mean, come on, how often are you going to get Georg Riedel to Mid-City?).
This is definitely a seminar that will change the way you think about the glass you use to drink wine led by the very man that revolutionized it all. But wait. . . there’s more: What’s best is that when the tasting is over you get to keep your set of glasses – a retail value of over $150!!!
And, after the tasting we’re having an all night “post toast” birthday celebration for Jon at Cork & Bottle (more details on that to follow) Please be certain not to wait to sign up for this very rare tasting event, seats are limited to 100 people.
The tasting is $95 per person and we ask that all reservations are made either in person or on the telephone: 504.483.6314. |
